"Better to see you with, My Dear" © Eva Macie
I decided to use ‘steampunk’ as my subject matter. It is very popular now and I love the idea of recycled parts and vintage elements to create something new. I used a model from a magazine so I guess this is the only place I dare show this. As for the goggles I was given permission to use them by their creator, a super craftsman and artist, Nicolas Chambon. You can see these and his other fantastic goggles and creations at his website atomefabrik.com. Be prepared for a treat if you like steampunk.
You certainly have a knack for digital works, how big is this collage?
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the cataract surgery. When do you go in?
Thanks Robin. This really isn't my style of collage as you are probably aware of by now. I created it just for the class assignment. It's 7'x7".
ReplyDeleteMy right eye will be done on the 24th. I go for pre-op tomorrow.I appreciate your support.
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well with your surgery!
Thank you Carole. I appreciate your kind words.
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful. I have actually drawn this model--maybe from the same ad. She's really interesting and I liked the hairstyle--love the goggles.
ReplyDeleteThanks Hallie! Did she have huge sunglasses on? Her looks and hairstyle really made her stand out from the pack of glamor gals with flowing hair extensions. Smart marketing that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis is Great!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy. Thanks for your comment. This is not everyone's cup of tea, but I couldn't think of anything else that I could do for this type of collage.
ReplyDeleteHi Eva - I can't believe was December when we last connected - time goes so fast !!I love the whole steam punk genre and i have done a steampunk digital work myself. Quite a few of my current works are actually influenced by these ideas.
ReplyDeleteHi Kadira. Has it been that long? I've been so swamped that I've lost track of time!! Steampunk is not my usual fare, but it was the only thing I could think to do in this type of class. Thanks for commenting.
ReplyDeleteVery cool digital artwork! kudos to you, Eva!
