Learning Photoshop digital painting since CS6 came out with new
brushes has consumed me. I took a break from my computer and returned to the
studio. It was a treat to play with a limited palette of real paint and
collage. Although the resulting art, shown above, may look a little chaotic, I
can assure you I was in my comfort zone. I am also taking part in a Gut Art
class, which inspired this piece and I am eager to create more. So much fun, I pray
for more good years to enjoy it
I think change is essential to artistic growth but I will admit, this new blogger template threw me off at first! I figured it out right away which means it must be pretty easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteI love when you "real" paint, and as usual, your collage works for me. I don't feel chaos, the black shades keep it together.
Thank you Robin. I am pleased you like my collage.Since I quit doing shows, my enthusiasm to paint and fill my studio with art has dampen. It takes online groups and classes to keep me working.
DeleteI am with you about the new template. Unfortunately I didn't save my old one and I'm using another one.Not sure about the black.
Eva, nice that you are back to painting..truth evolves in chaotic situations.. I like it! I couldnt figure out where your blog is..it is confusing for me :-)
ReplyDeletePadmaja, yes, it's nice to be back painting. Thank you for your support.I agree with you about the new template. I couldn't find my way around it either. I have to start over again.
DeleteI think its an easy and striking template...the dark colors spotlight the work nicely! I am in a similar spot in my life...loving the art making and hoping for time to explore it all. Great piece!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you Mary Ann. Thanks for the input about this template. I tried the new dynamic template, but it was really confusing. I plan to stick with this one. Here's to more coherent, creative healthy days, and hopefully years for all of us!
