Backgrounds

Recently, when I was out shopping, I spotted a small piece of distressed metal. Years of picking up little things for collage never seems to stop for me. I usually have to rescue bits and pieces for " it may be useful someday" projects.

I have been making backgrounds for my digital creations and this latest piece seemed like the perfect home for my new acquisition. It started a with a collage of telephone book pages. Next I added layers of tissue paper and pieces of stained brown paper towel. I use Golden Gesso for the white paint and Golden Fluid Acrylic to stain and paint the other areas.

  1. Interesting textures Eva, I feel the metal piece is the focus as if there is a waiting for a door to be opened, liked it a lot!

  4. Thank you for the greeting card. I love it.

I have been having trouble with the last two bottles of CitraSolv. I wonder if it ever happen to you not to have a good altered page using CTS at different time, under different conditions. The two bottles were purchase toghether at a health food store. I talked to Melissa about it. She could not figure that one either. It was a bad batch, the first for me.
    Keep in touch.

  5. Hi Suzanne,
I have not ever had a problem with CitraSolv so this is a new one on me. Are you sure it was the CS? If you are trying to dissolve the inks in National Geographic magazines sometimes they can be the problem, especially if they were stored in a damp place. Wish I could be more of a help.
