Cheap shots
For years my camera of choice was a 35mm Canon EOS and then I bumped up to the EOS Elan.. Being a die-hard 35mm-er, I bought an inexpensive digital camera solely for my computer graphics/ internet needs. It’s only recently that I’ve been tempted by the high resolution and price of quality digital cameras. A Canon Rebel would be the logical choice to make use of my large assortment of lens, however, I’m still on the fence about investing in one. All my recent pictures have been taken with a 2 megapixal, 3x zoom HP. Since I’m having so much fun with my little “cheapo” and Photoshop CS, I’m not sure now if I’ll go for the “big shooter”. I have my eye on the Olympus SP-500 UZ. It has 6 megapixals with a 10x optical/50x total zoom at about 1/3 the cost of the Canon. Decisions, decisions..

Mother Nature's abundance
Interrupted sleep is not the way to start the day. However it did inspire this collage. I was awakened several times by what I later discovered were large acorns falling on the roof! Every few years my oak trees yield an abundant supply and when they start to fall it is like a hail storm for a few weeks. I often wonder what damage they could do if they hit my car or my head ??
Mother nature loves running rampant around here twice a year. In the spring it is my bamboo sprouting everywhere and the fall it's acorns... What divine opportunities I have for creative ideas! Thank you!

Inch by Inch
I have decided to join the rest of the clever folks who use blogs to communicate and make their appearance in cyber world. Not being fond of writing and journaling may be my downfall here, but hopefully that will change.
I made my living for years marketing my work at art festivals and through agents and publishers. Now I am at the point in my life where the energy and drive is waning. I have entered a new passage , a shifting of gears. I want to create and market my talents in a new way that is joyful and beneficial to myself and others. Although I have a web site at http://www.evamacie.com/ , one of my goals is to create another web site (maciearts.com) to market my other art projects.
